Owning Your Power: Strength Without Aggression

Power. For many women, this word feels heavy—sometimes even taboo. We’ve been taught that power is dangerous, selfish, or aggressive. But here’s the truth: power is not about control—it’s about confidence, authenticity, and self-ownership. To live fully and succeed, you must claim your power and personal energy and feel comfortable in it.

Power is the ability to stand in your truth, make choices aligned with your values, and lead your life with purpose. Without it, you shrink, compromise, and lose yourself. With it, you thrive.

Yet many of us hesitate to embrace power because:

  • We fear being “too much.”

  • We confuse power with dominance.

  • We’ve been conditioned to prioritize pleasing others over owning our voice.

  • We’ve been taught that we cannot have a strong, healthy energy or presence.

It’s time to rewrite that narrative.

True power is calm, grounded, quiet, and compassionate. It’s not about overpowering others—it’s about empowering yourself. Think of it as inner strength that radiates outward, inspiring rather than intimidating.

Here’s How to Own Your Power and Feel Comfortable

  • 1. Redefine Power

    • See it as confidence and clarity, not control.

    • Affirm: “My power is my peace and my purpose.”

  • 2. Set Boundaries

    • Boundaries protect your energy and reinforce your worth.

    • Practice saying “no” without guilt.

  • 3. Celebrate Your Strengths

    • Journal your wins—big or small.

    • Recognize the qualities that make you unique.

  • 4. Lead with Kindness

    • Power and compassion can coexist.

    • Model healthy leadership in your family, work, and community.

  • 5. Manage and strengthen your personal energy

    • Clear out energetically what no longer serves you.

    • Maintain and increase your energetic vibration to its highest level.

Animals experience power struggles too. A horse with past trauma may hesitate to assert itself, just as humans do. But when given safety and trust, they learn to stand tall and move with confidence. Power is natural. It’s not about dominance—it’s about balance and trust. Animals model healthy power when they feel secure. You can do the same. A quiet, strong presence is more powerful than loud and brash.

Here are some Tips to help you Model Healthy Power

  • Observe Your Pets: Notice how they claim space without aggression.

  • Practice Grounding: Meditation, breath work, or nature walks to help you stay centered.

  • Visualize Strength: Picture yourself standing tall, calm, and confident—like a horse in an open field.

  • Manage Your Energy: make sure you are centered, clear and fully connected energetically.

Owning your power is not selfish—it’s essential. When you embrace your strength, you create space for growth, success, and authentic living. Power is your birthright. Claim it with grace.

Here’s to accepting your power with grace.
