You know that meditation helps to calm your mind, get rid of the negative chatter in your head, get you back on track, plus so much more, but with so many articles on meditating how do you begin and keep it going? Here’s the simplest way to start and make it part of your daily routine.
First, let’s start with how to meditate anywhere anytime.
Find a quiet place – Car, roomy closet, bathroom, bedroom, wherever you can find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.
Get comfortable, either sitting on a chair, on the floor or on a couch.
Ensure wherever you are that the lights are turned down low. It can help to also have soft soothing music in the background to help you relax. Just ensure the music you choose has no lyrics just instrumental as the words may cause distractions with your meditative state.
Now begin by taking at least three deep breaths. Take in one breath and feel your body relax as you exhale. Take in another deep breath and exhale as you feel your body relax even more. Continue to do this a couple more times until you feel completely relaxed.
Now imagine a ball of light entering the top of your head. Imagine this ball of light moving through your body, moving through to your eyes, down through to your chin, down through your shoulders, and so on. With each pass of this light imagine all the negativity and tension releasing from your body.
Once you have moved through to the bottom of your feet and out your toes, allow your mind to become completely blank.
Simply sit and enjoy the silence, and relaxation.
As you continue to do this each day you will find it become easier and easier to get into a fully relaxed state.
During your meditation, you can start to incorporate positive thought and energy patterns. Feel the joy, love, and confidence you want to exhibit. As you feel it, it will become your default pattern. Energy goes where you focus and it will create what you focus on. You will find this process will become easier and easier as you continue to do it regularly.
By taking the time to meditate daily in the morning you set up your day for success and when you take the time to meditate before bed you allow your subconscious to release the day. This is the best way to change your thought patterns for a much more healthful lifestyle.
